Dropped pins with an address now come through
Some lists made of dropped pins, including lists in Japanese and other languages, used to come back empty. Those pins now convert, each named by its address, with any note you wrote kept as the note.
Links that aren't lists
Paste a link to a single place, or to a list that has been deleted or is no longer shared, and you now get a clear message in about ten seconds.
A quick, clear answer when you paste a directions link
Some Google Maps directions links used to slip past our check, run for a minute, and end in a generic error. Now any directions or route link gets a clear message in a few seconds, telling you to share your list instead.
Faster repeat downloads, and clearer messages for links that can't be converted
Downloading a second format of the same list, or your file right after upgrading, is now almost instant. If a list has been deleted or is no longer shared, you'll know in seconds. A Google My Maps link now points you to My Maps' own KML export.
List names in any language, and quicker answers for broken links
Lists named in Cyrillic, Greek, Chinese or any other script now download with their real name. A cut-off or dead share link now gets a clear message right away.
Every dropped pin comes through, named from its note
Dropped pins, including ones saved from a coordinate search, all come through. An unnamed dropped pin takes its name from the first line of its note, and the full note stays with it as the note.
Notes come through exactly as you wrote them
Notes with several lines or quote marks come through word for word, in GPX, KML, GeoJSON, and CSV.
Added a description field to GeoJSON files
Some apps, including Organic Maps, only read a GeoJSON feature's description field and ignore notes. Every place now carries both, so your notes show up either way.
Added list name, export date, and a map link to CSV
Every row now includes which list it came from, the date you converted the file, and a link that opens the place on Google Maps.
Place names with an ampersand come through
Places like "Ben & Jerry's" come through like any other pin, so every place in your list lands in your file.
Added address to GPX/KML/GeoJSON, and notes to every export format
When Google has a street address on file for a place, it comes through in your GPX, KML, or GeoJSON file. Any note you added to a saved pin comes through in all four formats, including CSV. Not every place has an address on file, so some stay blank.
